The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the operator of Videothek Lechhausen, Neuburger Str. 18, 86163 Augsburg (see Legal Notice).
2. Hosting
This website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH (Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany). The servers are located in Germany, meaning all personal data is processed and stored exclusively within the EU in accordance with German and European data protection law. Hetzner processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).
3. What Data We Process
- Account data: Name, email address, phone number, password (stored encrypted) upon registering a customer account.
- Reservation and rental data: reserved/rented media, pickup dates, return data, extensions.
- Age verification: Confirmation of age rating (FSK) when reserving age-restricted media.
- Server log data: IP address, date/time, page accessed, browser type (automatically on every website visit).
4. Purpose and Legal Basis of Processing
Processing is carried out for the performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) – in particular for handling reservations, rentals and purchases – as well as to safeguard legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), such as the operational security of the website.
5. Storage Duration
Personal data is stored only as long as necessary for the stated purposes or as required by statutory retention obligations.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection pursuant to Art. 15–21 GDPR. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority.
7. Cookies
We use technically necessary cookies (e.g. session and login cookies) to enable the operation of the website, in particular the customer account and shopping cart. These cookies are used on the basis of § 25 (2) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
